All dentures are tailored for each budget and are made over 4-6 appointments-sometimes longer depending on the patient and the patient needs.
When the patient has their own teeth on the lower gum, an upper denture is the form of treatment. Rarely but occasionally a lower denture is constructed and TOTAL DENTURES advise using a metal substructure inside the acrylic for lower dentures for strength. Similarly this can also be done in the form of a metal palate for those that have particularly hard bites on the upper. Because there is a lot of pressure applied from the opposing teeth, the acrylic must be high impact, and the strongest teeth are used. Particular attention is paid to match the lower teeth shade and the acrylic can be stained if necessary to match.
